Tetrazzini framed dealer portrait

Post by Jerry B. »

Ever since I purchased a Victrola autographed by Louisa Tetrazzini several years ago I've collected additional Tetrazzini items. This year I pre-purchased a framed dealer portrait of Tetrazzini in costume as Lakme and picked it up on the Union trip. Tetrazzini was a celebrity that enjoyed public attention and endorsed consumer items such as the facial cream product in the poster to the right. The piece to the left is a dealer copy of "Tetrazzini's Christmas Carol" which celebrated her return to SanFrancisco. Jerry Blais

Jerry,

A beautiful original Victor store display poster. Congratulations. A very nice display to match your beautiful signed phonograph!

Hi Jerry,

That's outstanding! What a beautiful portrait of Tetrazzini. She was an amazing singer, so immensely talented with one of the greatest voices in history. Thanks for sharing the picture.

Best regards,
Scott

I think she's in her costume as Lakme. She lived life the the full, by all reports. Fred Gaisberg of The Gramophone Co. was very fond of her and any friend of Fred's is a friend of mine.
