Columbia dictaphone feedscrew

Post by jdc1 »

Hi to all,I purchased a Columbia dictaphone, belt drive with an electric motor. It came with a Columbia Lyric 4min reproducer & the carriage looks more like a BK carriage. My question is if I will be able to play either 2min celuoid or 4min celuoid cylinders with the existing feedscrew & halfnut? It appears to be the same length as a BF feedscrew.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,John in Cape Coral,FL.

The Dictaphone machines are 160 tpi, Ediphones at 150 tpi so are not able to play two or four min cylinders. It might be possible to have a two and four minute feed screw and half nut made.
