This one was good enough that the transfer survived intact; see how it looks now.

Survival of the transfer is in no way a reliable indicator of the original paint condition. I have an HMv horn with great transfer but lousy paint that someone has attempted to 'melt' and refloat in the past. They were not successful and it will be stripped off and repainted by me at some point in the future (when I can remember where I last saw it!).
