Does anyone recognize this reproducer?

I found this on an Edison Home Phonograph I bought today, but have never seen this type before. Can anyone tell me what I have?

Just guessing here, but the needle block looks like it might be from a dictaphone.

Could be. The closest I can find is an Edipone, but the diaphragm is copper and it looks too deep. I suppose it could be from a very early one. Did the home ever come with the speaker reproducer. The carriage is too small for a model c.

Not quite sure what you mean: are you referring to the Standard Speaker? That was fairly early....

As for the Model C, that would have been standard equipment on most 2 minute Homes (after the Automatic and Model B, of course): the carriage would not have been too small....

I am not sure of this type/style But I own one exactly the same it plays 2 min black wax cylinders very nicely

Mine has a paper like diaphragm i had to glue it a little because the connector to the diaphragm is ok but it popped through but it after i glused it works awesome just like a small paper repait . The material looks like the old fishpaper they use to use in transformer or electric motor windings

Pictures for comparison. Common Ediphone reproducer on the left, the larger one on the right. The smaller one has an exposed mica diaphragm, the other one is enclosed. I haven't opened it, and it's not clear from looking down the neck whether it is paper or metal. Rizbone's does not have the bottom piece that encloses the diaphragm on this one. I acquired them separately, so I have no idea what machines they were originally with. Looks like the same "26" stamp here, too.

They do like like the playback only version of the Ediphone reproducer, they should be gentle on cylinders, the weight is not heavy and the stylus is a ball shape.
