I am new to this forum. First time post. Delighted to be a member.
I have a Columbia Grafonola De Luxe Lion's Head 78 rpm model. No music box. I have had it for many years. All original, not restored. Works fine. The outside is perfect. The lid inside is perfect. Turntable like new. My problem.....the inside shelves are missing.. The person I bought it from had given it to his son. The son cut the shelves out to put a TV into it. He took it back and sold it to me for $90 about 1973. I don't know what should be inside. I am looking for good pictures of the inside.

Thanks for the pictures. Is there anything inside supporting the shelf? I have some square wood pieces about ½ inch square and 6 inches long.
Has your machine been restored? It looks pretty good.

Dan, There's no support under the shelf and it just appears as if it is glued in

There is a groove in the side panels for the shelf to fit into. I had a shelf made by our local woodworker from a template that I made. He does really fantastic work. However, I am not sure how to get it in. If the sides were flat it would be easy. I have had the shelf for several years......time to figure out what to do.
