So am I in trouble with the wife?
Honey and I swapped our dining and living rooms to give more space for eating during the holidays since we never use the livingroom anyway. We painted but could not get the furniture back in place before she had to go to work so she left it up to me to decide what furniture stays in and what hangs on the walls with the explicit instructions not to make another phonograph room out of it. It only has 4 phonographs in it and two of them really are more furniture than machine... so, is my goose cooked when she comes home this afternoon?

I think you're asking the wrong crowd!!
If it were my loving wife, I think she'd be okay with the number of phonographs - none of them
seem overly obtrusive.
I'd definitely catch some heck about the wall hangings though.

Looks like there is space for 2 or 3 more!

Female perspective here (although phonograph biased). The room doesn't scream phono showroom at all to me. It looks really inviting and cozy with a nice but not overwhelming amount of visual interest. You fit the phono stuff in well. I think it looks great, nice job!

Personally I like it, and it took me a little bit to notice more than the one phonograph.

Hey, looks great to me. But then in my living/dining room area I now have 11 phonographs.
Seriously, it looks great and very inviting.

My wife would not have a problem with that at all! Now, exchange the flowers with an Amberola 30 and ch@t will fly!

The room looks great!
Very nicely done!
You might want to exchange the framed Nipper with a portrait of the Mrs., just to be safe!!!!!
