I have always wondered if the VV 1-70 was considered a Orthophonic machine even though it had the No. 4 soundbox?
Victor also made the VV 1-90 with the Orthophonic soundbox, so why the 1-70?
It really makes no sense.

I don't believe the 1-70 was ever considered to be an orthophonic machine - wasn't it just a slightly-improved, cheaper alternative, one with a new and rather attractive look?

The big difference with the 1-90 is that it has a very small folded horn. The 1-70 does not.
