Listing says it an Edison Victrola... Why would someone paint this green.

It is an Edison A-100 painted green.

It's an Edison A100 that someone painted. Here are pictures of one in mahogany and one in oak.

Its up at a local estate auction this month along with an "Edison record cabinet" which is not pictured. If the bidding stays low I'll grab it...and then head to Lowes for a few gallons of paint thinner :lol:

That refinish is called "antiquing" which was all the rage in the 1970s.

Yes, displaying it right next to the beautiful gold macrame plant holder Mom made..... :roll: :lol: :lol:. Actually, the avocado colour reminds me of the kitchen appliances of the day... :lol: :lol: :lol:.
