Does anyone make or have parts for this early Victor stylus bar? I'm slowly plugging away on my Victor II restoration, and would like to save it, as it's an early style.

Garret, You are most welcome and "yes" your needle bar is missing the spring and lever. Oddly enough, the lever is almost the same has found on a Berliner/Johnson side style brake. So, if you could find a repro Berliner side brake (for the lever).....But, you will still need a special made spring. That may be a difficult task.Garret wrote:Thank you for the picture! So it looks like I am missing the spring and the lever?
I'm not sure it is a "machined" part, but made from brass rod stock. Then, adding the ball on the end. The spring will be the really challenge in my opinion. You will need both parts in order to have them made correct. Best of luck.....Garret wrote:Thank you! Do you know if this part looks like it could easily be machined?

I have made small springs like that on my lathe by winding wire on a rod. The last ones were for the Columbia plunger brakes I made. If you find the lever, I will try to help you with the spring.gramophone78 wrote:I'm not sure it is a "machined" part, but made from brass rod stock. Then, adding the ball on the end.
