HELP NEEDED! HMV 153 Art Deco Console Gramophone

Post by HMV_Electrola »

Hello there,

I have a special request and I am very thankful for any assistance. My problem is:
Some month ago, I've bought a very nice HMV Model 153. The cabinet is in a very good condition, but the stand is missing, somebody removed the legs and fixed coastings, in the past.... Now, I like to rebuilt the stand, but I need your assistance for this plan.
It would be great, if someone knows or owns a Model 153 (with stand) and could send me some pics from below the gram, including inform about the measure of the stand.

Further more, I would be very thankful, if someone could give me a tip regarding a new (old) matching grill cloth (HMV) and a replacement for the tone arm in bronce.

Thanks & kind regards
Martin

Yes, I know that these models are very scarce and that it is very, very difficult to get the information I need. :|

The legs are part of the cabinet frame from memory and not a separate stand.

Hello Steve, I think you must be wrong, because the whole black frame (with legs) seems completely nailed under the gramophone. So, separate before finishing the model. A pic would be great.

I did own a 153 a long time ago but sadly I didn't take any pictures of it before I burnt it. It was in top condition too!

Yes, that's it!
I cannot send a pic at the moment, because my 153 is already at the carpenter and he is waiting for the details...
