I do have a Winston "portable", the Naval version in battleship grey. The metal case would have protected it as it slid across the deck in a heavy swell............

A retired dealer/repairer friend (yes dealers do have friends!) owns one of these metal cased machines. It is in need of complete restoration, but next time I visit him I will try to remember to photograph it.
