The May 18th Rose City Collector's Market promises to be a good one for phonograph and record collectors. Twenty tables have been rented by OTAPS (Oregon Territory Antique Phonograph Society) members and there will be many items for sale. The sale is held at the Airport Holiday Inn's conference center at 8521 NE Columbia Blvd. Portland, Oregon from 7 am until 3 pm. Early 7 am admission is only $5.
On May 17th there is an OTAPS meeting at member Bob Thomsen's home. Bob has a varied and interesting collection and it promises to be a fun event. If you should find yourself in Portland on that weekend, you are welcome to the OTAPS meeting. They are informal and fun meetings. Please email [email protected] with any questions about either event.
Thanks, Jerry Blais

Jerry, That's a smart thing your club does to use an existing collector's market for your show. The club members can concentrate on buying and selling and leave all the administrative headaches to others. I'll be there. Marc.

Jerry, I'll be there too.
Would you say the OTAPS members typically have their tables near each other, or are they dispersed throughout the building? I see the promoter advertises 200 tables total. David.

A couple of OTAPS members, Stan S. and Bob T., reserved a block of twenty tables for phono collectors so we should all be together. See you there. Jerry

A shout out to those who organized the event. It was my first chance to see someone's collection, get a little hand's on experience with the machines, and meet other collectors. I found several parts I needed, learned a lot and had a great time!

I was at the OTAPS meeting and the show. It was a great meeting and show. I sold quite a bit, and bought quite a bit. I always buy more than I sell. It was great to meet new friends and see my old friends. I'll look forward to the one next year,

Re: May 18th Rose City Collector's Market - Portland, OR
I had a great time at the Rose City Collector's Market. I bought a Pathé cylinder machine and a Standard open works disk machine. I bought some good parts including an original gold Vic VI elbow and an adaptor for using a larger horn on a small Victor machine. I sold my Victor Junior and Victrola IV as well as a set of boxer toys for a disk machine, and odds & ends. Best of all, it was an active day for all the vendors and things moved. Jerry Blais
