Gheeze I meant the one I'm looking at the id plate is on the left side facing the machine. Anyway, guess I'll work something out on this machine. Thanks for all the input.....

I'm not quite sure what Jerry wrote either....???. However to answer your question regarding the "early" Vic 1. The plate is on the left side as you face the case. The later model....the plate is on the front as you can see in my pic.

Thanks. After looking at your picture prompted me to query the location of the id plate. TNX

Your welcome. Just an opinion.....I never found the early Vic 1 to be a great "playing" machine. The weak motor and 8" table just doesn't cut it. Again, that's my opinion. The later Vic 1 has a stronger and quieter motor. As well as a 10" table. However, still a single spring machine and really just a "looker" at best. Last, the later models seem to rarely turn up. Compared to the early model which turns up regularly for sale. Best of luck in your purchase.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I think the tag should be on any side except the crank side or back bracket side. It seems like I've seen Victor ads showing it on the crank side but believe that was artistic advertising license. Jerry
