Just saying thats a good rate to go by even if you figure all the work yhat has to go into rebuilding a mainspring for a Victrola espically for a 2 barrell even a 4 barrell is extra tricky.

THis is My Humble Opnion and just Thankful for people that can do this. Aren't you playing devil's advocate here?------------------>
"sorry not me I got a guy who can do a complete rebuild of these for $50 no harm intended Good Luck with your venture I wish you all the luck cheers "

So you have a two spring motor for a Victor ? and two extra spring barrels with springs in them? Tell me the model of the player , so we are on the same page.

I used to charge $50 per spring which is not much for the labor. Its a messy job and
things go wrong more often than not. Any unexpected problem can mean hours of extra
labor. Something to consider.

SquireWill,

Where are you located? I may need the motor from my VV-X refreshed.

anyone interested?

The total goal would be 500-600 dollars. Sorry for the confusion. As far as "broken" springs go, it's going to vary case to case scenario. In this venture already found two "ripped" springs. If I had not inspected them or really looked close they could have slipped by. I don't know how long they would have lasted.
I am not going to disclose price here on the forum. Unwise I think, because of people are going to want to send me their worst case scenarios for rehab expecting it for a song. Honest person who just wants to make a few extra dollars. PM or send e-mail.
