well it is no goot to me I paid $42 for bolth pieces and I am willing to part with this part I am willing to trade for a decent 9' Victor Vitrola 8 Main spring any one wishing to trade please just pmme or call

Thanks for the thought! ;) But to be honest, I'm at a loss what to do with mine! I think it'll become one of Those Projects to restore slowly over a long period of time...

The problem is that most office dictating machines come complete with these in good shape. They are common enough that many have been taken apart to use the electric motor for another project.

That is the recorder/reproducer for a Dictaphone
model 12 dictating machine. Just exactly like
McTodd said!

I just got a Dictaphone model 12, along with
2 other machines a couple of weeks ago.

The model 12 works very nicely. I now immediately recognized that recorder/reproducer
when I saw your picture of it.

Do you still have it intact?

I might be interested in trading for it if you
still have it.

Very few things get me riled up on here.

But scrapping a perfectly good recorder/reproducer just because you don't understand what it is, or what it's for,
is in my opinion....

Inexcusable!
