Bruce, I totally support your A-series Diamond Disc fetish.
Every book and article about these machines points out that the A-150 wasn't a big seller because the public didn't like the cabinet.This puzzles me because I've always thought they were quite a pleasing design.

Well, from what I read, it wasn't the style that was an issue; it was the fragility and instability of those thin legs, combined with the lack of record storage, that made them unpopular with the trade. The addition of the albums wasn't really enough, apparently.

Dealers back in the day referred to the A-100 as the 'Amputee-100' because so many broke legs in shipping. The dowels would snap where they met the cabinet.

Compared with some machines I have picked up in the past, this one is not that dirty. It should clean up beautifully. Congrats!
