There's a very nice golden oak Victrola XI in an antique shop in Corvallis, OR and the price is slightly over $200. Jerry

I have what I consider to be a nice VV-50. I got it from a Craigslist listing 3 months ago. It was missing part of the latch, but otherwise was complete. I paid $100 for the machine an put $10 in it for a new latch. I spent a couple of hours cleaning and lubricating it. I also rebuilt the No 2 reproducer for around $25 (kit from eBay). It plays very well and I could not be happier. I had been looking for one for a couple of months when it showed up on CL. As has been mentioned on the forum many times before, if you have a little patience, the machine you are looking for will eventually show up in your area, you just have to keep looking.

Thank you guys for your help. I posted a wtb post in the trader section, and got a response, so hopefully I will be a happy owner soon :)
I would rather buy from a member, who knows what he was doing and took good care of his machine.
