I have a Victor III that I just put up on ebay. However, its ummm... missing a part or two. :D

Actually, you might want to consider a Vic II instead. They often sell for $1K or below. A II is a good basic machine with a strong single-spring motor and a 10" turntable. Type A and later used a 19" black flower horn. Earlier ones used a black and brass horn.

I was actually looking at few . I love the ones with the big brass horn. I saw one on phonophan.com, but it was so expensive there

If you have a copy of the Reiss book "The Compleat Talking Machine". You will read that the Vic 2 is one of the worst machines to play your records on. The tracking error is over 17%. A good way to wipe out records.
