You are probably right. Lee Kirk attached the new spider to the mica for me, but it fell off in the mail. I wonder if Staples sells sealing wax? I am going to try Stratena and just leave the wax in place for looks.

This business manufactures green,red, buff, and black sealing wax.
It was started in 1907, and still in the original building, and uses the same equipment and formulations.
It has big gas fired wax vats, with fire brick surrounding them and stone wax stick molds. It was one of the things I tried to make cylinder blanks out of, when I was a little kid. It did not make good cylinder records, but is about the right formula for making 78s, it is a shellac based wax.
