I used just regular gear grease from an auto parts store supplemented with Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer. Couldn't find any Slick 50 as recommended in the 'how to' video. Don't know what the pink stuff is.

Finished Victrola motor #6 - from a 1917 VV-IX - just regreased the springs, oiled and regreased everything else. Runs smooth as silk, no more 'chunking', runs almost 13 minutes at speed on a full winding. All that's left is the 1926 Granada I just brought home - awaiting a replacement spring - and that will be all my Victrolas refurbished.
The Columbias are next, including the Symphonola. Anything unusual about them I should know? Somebody told me the governor shaft is adjustable, can be relocated to accomodate the change in size of the nylon spindle gear as it wears. Gonna have to find that adjustment.

Must be incredibly rewarding to do this for the first time and have it go well. Congrats!
Had I known when I bought my retirement condo that I was going to get deeply into this hobby I would have gotten a single family home with a good place for a shop instead. Would be fun to get up to my elbows in spring grease.
