Just got my copy in the mail today and, as always, Sutton did a beautiful job. These books are invaluable and worth every cent.

I've purchased a few Slezak's that were not so cheap and this fear keeps me awake at night!

I wonder how the recent purchaser of the Shakelton wax Amberol survived this stress, having paid, if I recall correctly, $3400 for the record. Hope it arrived safely...

$3,400? Oh, great, now I'm afraid to even look at mine.

It sems the wax amberols had some of the best singers and songs. these are so fragile but thinking these would be some great titles to release on the new plastic records.

I thought the same and it's certainly possible to do it. There would have to be some interest though because the setup costs for one recording are pretty high and must assume a certain number of sales just to break even.

I'm always looking for suggestions for selections to release. If anyone has a title they would like to see available on a new cylinder email or PM me. It would be helpful if a good quality audio file could be provided. As long as I think I can initially sell a minimum of 6 or 7 copies (at my sapphire series price) I will certainly consider any suggestions.

Btw: we plan to offer a limited number of copies of the Shakleton cylinder towards the end of April.

Yesterday I bought quite a few of the wax Amberols at a local flea market ,and I got a GREAT deal on them.I'm waiting to play them until after Tim Fabrizio repairs my Triumph E in June.With those,I sure do say my prayers over them,if you catch my drift!edisonplayer
