Hi Fran,
I really like the open works Q's. I have two of my own. You might also give George Vollema ( Great Lakes Antique Phonographs) a try for the parts you need. His email address is [email protected] I needed a few things to complete one of my machines and George had the parts at very reasonable prices. I replace the spring on the speed control with a small spring from the inside of an old pen. I had to trim it down a little but it was the correct diameter and worked well.

Thank you, Pete, I will give him a call and talk to him. I like the spring idea, this is a very inexpensive project, so I'm looking to cut costs at any and all opportunities! :)
