It looks like the reproducer twists on to an adaptor looking device stuck on the end of the tone arm/reproducer thingy. This is the only picture I have right now, I'll look closer next time I get to the 'shop'.

Thanks! That tells me why I always see these missing the rubber gasket - because there never was one! I've used a pile of rubber washers to fit a Cygnet onto a University speaker driver, so that would prolly work for my portable - not that it needs a new repro, but just in case...

I bought a Brunswick Cortez some months back. The reproducer looks like it's never been touched but sounds awesome as-is. They must have used some really good gasket material. The trick is to get one with a brass reproducer, (just like the Victors), as the pot metal ones are usually shot.
