I had a debate with myself about that very thing George. On the one hand one would normally expect the seam to be hidden, but on the other there is a bump out (purely decorative as far as I can tell) on the brass elbow that lines up to make a continuous line with the seam when the seam is up, in effect joining with the seam to make it into a decorative element when viewed from above. Just a suggestion: I think the horn would look better if you rotate it 180 degrees so the seam is on the bottom.
