Beautiful job. How did you replicate the columns? I own a Victor M that I bought back in 1966 and it's missing a couple of the columns. Would love to get them replaced. Thanks.

One place to try is victroladoctor.com they offer replacment columns for the various Victor out side horn models. They are good quality. Tricky thing with replacement items such as these is getting the stain and finish to match the 100 year old wood. I just tinker with darker stains and or combinations of stains along with tinkering with the tint in the shellac to match as best as possible.

The plate on my Vic II is all black. I would like to redo it like that. I don't know anybody that plates. Do you think this guy would be interested in plating mine or know where I can send it.

There are plating places most everywhere that can do nickel. I use a local shop that plates auto and motorcycle parts.

Thanks for the lead. I'll check them out. The name plate on my M is solid brass with no black enamel. It was like that when I bought it.
