I think that they're fake, they are all exactly the same size, and the ones I bought in souvenir shops as a child did not say Facsimile on them. Even if they are genuine their value as currency has been rendered nil.
EDIT: I work in a museum with quite a lot of vintage currency, including Confederate bills. There was little standardization of size since individual states and banks issued their own currency. The uniform brown color of the bills is also a warning sign- in this case a good one because it means that if you wish you can strip them off the top with no loss to history.
