No doubt the grill was damaged and cut out of the oval. The metal is a type of decorative screening available in various sizes. I would guess Brunswick as well of course with the wrong parts.

I think you are on to something Estott! The fluted columns and gold plated trim just meaning it was a little fancier edition.

Please post more pictures- i can't tell without seeing the motor, horn, controls (etc.):but with more , I think the possibilities could be narrowed down to 1 or 2
