I'd definitely lean toward viewing this as likely shill bidding as well, it's too strange otherwise, and that price seems crazy high, as crazy as the bidding activity. I was watching a similarly strange recent auction of a kalamazoo duplex machine, which had about 27 bids from 11 different bidders, reached its fairly high reserve price of 5500 within a few days, but that was several days prior to the auction's end during which time no further bidding occurred at all.

What adds to the "shill" scenario is two of three the bidders that retracted have the same feedback numbers as the multiple bids at the end....Anyone want to calculate the odds on that??.brianu wrote:I'd definitely lean toward viewing this as likely shill bidding as well, it's too strange otherwise, and that price seems crazy high, as crazy as the bidding activity.
