My Amberola cabinet is ready for a mechanism. The drawers go in and out easily. Yes, I re-installed the stops. Here are some photos:

Cliff (CDBPDX) cleaned and re-greased the springs and serviced the mechanism and it works great! Thanks Cliff. I borrowed a reproducer from another machine and it worked great the very first play. I had everything except the crank so I dug around in my spare parts bin. The crank I found was perfect. You can still see the $20 price tag from a previous sale. I'm glad it didn't sell. I couldn't be happier with this project. Jerry Blais

Looks good, Jerry.
I see your mechanism has the brass oil caps not typically found on the 1A mechanisms. What's the serial number on the mechanism?

Jerry, Turned out very nice. I love that cabinet style and the oxidized metal parts.

The mechanism has a serial number of 3230. I have a 1-B with a serial number of 3555. The numbers of the 1-B must have been a continuation of the 1-A series. Correct? Jerry

What a stunning machine! Looks even better against the background of amazing vintage bikes!
Look forward to seeing a video of it playing

Yes - the 1B numbering continues from where the 1A ended - - right around 3500.
The brass oil caps seem to appear only on some later 1A mechanisms - but not consistently. Kind of a mystery.

I keeping hoping Santa will bring me a 1-A too, but alas it is always just lumps of coal.
