Strange coincidence. Now there is a reproducer Opera horn on eBay. That may help the person who bought the machine.

I don't think it was canceled. If I remember correctly it had a buy not price of $900. And that is what the listing shows it sold for.

The trademark decal has been replaced and the gilt decorations have been touched up in places.

It looks to me that the bed-plate and gear covers were rubbed down taking all of the gilt off and then the gilt was replaced by a very bad flat gold paint.

Steve, you may be right. I thought the gilt looked better in some places than others, so gave the benefit of the doubt that some of it was original!
