If you are a true phono nerd, be there early on Friday. You'll have to pay $35 (? not positive on price) for early admission but it's worth every penny. That's the day that the good stuff comes out and is available for early buyers and sellers. If you are going to Union just to experience the event and meet people, Saturday entry is fine. Be sure to go to Jasper's on Saturday evening. If you don't go to Jasper's you will automatically loose your official phono nerd status. Be sure to introduce yourself. Jerry Blais

I second everything that Jerry said, except the early buyer's fee on Friday is $40. Still the way to go if you're serious about taking something home.

My choice is "stupid looking hair" or "bald." Now what about my stupid-looking face...?

That's what I have. Time for an "almost shave".phonogfp wrote:Well, it didn't used to be...!gramophone78 wrote:Is it a prerequisite to shave your head in order to be let in to get the deals..???. Sorry guys.....I just couldn't help myself.....

I look forward to the day I get to meet everyone there! Maybe next year.

I had enough money for Hairclub for Men but I spent it on a really cool Victrola. I bet George would also. Jerry

Heck, I still have most of my hair. I would shave it off just to get a really cool Berliner.....Jerry B. wrote:I had enough money for Hairclub for Men but I spent it on a really cool Victrola. I bet George would also. Jerry

At the risk of offending the Jersey people, I would say that the second largest phonograph show now is the CAPS or now APS show in Buena Park, CA held every year during the second weekend in August. And since a lot of the big record sellers seem to have pulled out of Union, I'd say the Buena Park show has the biggest amount of records for sale too.I'd say the Wayne show is the second largest and one I have only missed a couple of times in well over 14 years. I always come home with neat stuff regardless, too.
