The reproducer might depend on the time period it was made, just guessing? I had no trouble in rebuilding the one I got an it worked terrific.

Mine wasn't difficult, just slightly tricky getting the pot metal threaded ring on the face in and out. The gasket tubing mustn't be too thick.larryh wrote:The reproducer might depend on the time period it was made, just guessing? I had no trouble in rebuilding the one I got an it worked terrific.

Some of their lower-end models didn't have an adapter.estott wrote:If the machine had a Pathé adaptor there will be a holder for it near the tone arm. Some later machines did away with it, and the very late oak tabletop silvertones had swans neck arms.
The reproducers can be slightly tricky to get apart and rebuild, but a Victor reproducer will fit the arm nicely.

Well I am trying to put my limited funds into records not machines but sometimes they do gnaw at my little brain and I have to go back only to find them gone oh well maybe it's they way it was suppose to be but now I am looking into portables. They are smaller and sound quite good at least the ones I have heardzenith82 wrote:Sorry to hear that. Any time I see a complete phono that cheap, I always pick it up unless it's a '30s portable and if I can spare the cash.
