I'm a fan of yellow and haven't seen any yet in my google searches.
Iva, I think the Victor 0 is the only model Victor machine that came with a colored horn. All the rest were black.

There are different Vic II elbows but, to the best of my knowledge, the horn end of the elbows are all the same size. Jerry

One version of the Victor "Junior" came with a red horn.

Jan, The late Victor I or II has the same slip in fitting. The difference between the late Victor I or II, and the late Victor 0 elbow is the length. The Victor I/II is longer that the Victor 0 elbow, so the horn won't fit. Here is my suggestion to have a good accurate copy: Get a repro Victor II elbow from Ron Sitko. They run around $85.00 plus shipping. Have the elbow cut to the proper length(Jerry B. can you provide the length of the elbow?) I would bring the horn to a machinist so he can cut to fit. You don't want to hack it of with a hacksaw, you'll ruin it. Look at your horn to see where the nub is to fit in the bayonet fitting. If the nub points up, by using the decal as a reference, you have the right horn. If the nub points down by the decal, then you have the wrong horn. I'm very familiar with this machine from a previous thread on this subject. You machine is from 1913. The bayonet slot is cut on top of the elbow. Also, I would take this to a machinist to cut the slot. It may be expensive to do this job, but it will be well worth it, and won't look like a hack job. Those Victor 0 elbows are extremely scarce and it is like finding a needle in a haystack. Good luck with your project.

Thanks Harvey, I think I have a late model O horn but not sure of that either. It is missing the decal as it was painted black when I got it and tacked soldered into a Vic III elbow. I was able to get the horn out of the elbow without damage. After sanding it down, I repainted it. There were remants of the yellow paint but I couldn't find where the decal was. I've been told that the 2 Vic O horns are different sizes as well. Maybe Jerry can tell us the difference as he has both models?

Jan,
That's easy to determine now, since the horn was painted and no decal. After you have the horn removed from the elbow, have the nub soldered onto the horn end. After the horn is touched up and redone, apply the decal so that it is oriented so the nub is up and not down. Like I said before, your machine is from 1913, so the nub and elbow slot is on top.

So they are the same size horn for both Victor O models? I thought they were different sizes as well.
We were talking about this project this morning and my husband described this project as having only a nice red tail glass lens and deciding to start from there building/restoring a car. Had to laugh at that!

Harvey is talking about the late O. Early and late O's have different sized horns elbows and back brackets. I believe Harvey is saying that the taper at the horn end of a Vic II elbow and a late Vic O elbow are the same but the elbow is not as long. He suggests cutting down a reproduction Vic II elbow so the opening has the same diameter as a late Vic O elbow. Jerry
