Sean, I see what you mean. I did not notice the imprinted number inside the label. I was thinking about the labels that have a tab at the top that clearly identify the serial number. See the picture.

Tamagno was the first recording artist to receive royalties on his work, and he was paid a cash advance of £2000, so the records needed to sell well in order to recoup G&T's investment. Despite their high price of £1 each, they did.

Unless I have experience with them, I always suggest detailed packing methods to the sellers in a polite way. I even offer to pay extra if the seller feels I'm being excessive.
In spite of that, some eBAY sellers have completely disregarded my instructions in the past and damaged the items. (See related thread in Yankee Trader section re. reasons to avoid eBAY)
