Re: Great Value of Yankee Trader Section
I've had positive experiences both buying and selling here.
The advantages of buying here have been widely touted but there's been less said about the advantages of selling here.
- No eBAY rip off fees so you can offer potential buyers a better, more competive price
- Honest, reputable, knowlegeable pool of potential buyers
- Freedom to correspond directly between potential buyers and sellers, not having to go through the sh*tty eBAY interface
- More flexible, creative options for shipping via membership network
To help make it even better and ease the burden on our moderators, kindly pay attention to the "YANKEE TRADER GUIDELINES - READ BEFORE POSTING" thread at the top of the form. I understand it's been some work to maintain non-compliant postings.
A personal preference, also, once an item is sold, I would suggest to leave the asking price of the item posted, even if the seller sold it for a bit less. It provides a nice reference point re. prices. If our moderators agree, perhaps that could be clarified in the guidelines.

Re: Great Value of Yankee Trader Section
Although I have not yet bought or sold through this section, I can endorse the positive sentiments in praise of the forum.
The Administrators and Moderators always respond to the needs of the members, for example the creation of the "British and European Machines" section to cater for the ever increasing number of members from those countries. For our part we show our gratitude by keeping this section as active and interesting as we can, for the benefit of all members wherever they may be.

Bruce ,
I still get a thrill when i go to your videos and see My William & Mary 250 playing in your Dads basement
in Minnesota . I still feel like i'm down there hauling it up & out loading it in my truck and enjoying the small town you once lived on . What a great experience for my Wife and I! All those memories are thanks to your response to my ad's on the Trader ,so you are right about your endorsements to the forum!
Thanks Eric
