I should also be said that when you put the glue on the grille, you don't put any glue on the inside sections of the grille. I used to spray tacky glue all over the back of the entire grille. This makes it much harder to stretch the cloth over the thing. Only put the glue on the outside or perimeter of the grille.

I agree with the method of pre-stretching the fabric on a large flat board (you can use duck tape instead of pins), and laying the glued grille on top and weighting it. That way, you can make sure the fabric is completely wrinkle-free.
