With this being a 1925 model, would this be a lacquer finish, or would they have still been using shellac on these?

For anyone wondering...
Ah, yes, the 70s antiquing fad strikes again. At least the important decal position inside the lid wasn't painted over.

I hope it found a good home. Did anybody here buy it?

Perhaps SignatureSeriesOwner purchased it, considering he posted the eBay link just 2 minutes after it sold.

Congratulations!

I did. :D

I've yet to hear anything from the seller though.....with 0 feedback, I'm not exactly certain I'm going to wind up getting the machine. Sent them a message with my contact info, we will see...

Buying something from a seller with no track record is always a risk. On the other hand, everybody on eBay had that first sale at one point and it is probably too soon to be very worried. Hope it works out OK. Keep us posted.

The best way for first-time sellers to get started on eBay is by listing some inexpensive items, then working up to more expensive items as they develop a favorable reputation.

While buying from someone with zero feedback could be a risk, there are often opportunities to bid on a good deal because anyone else is afraid to risk buying from a new seller. I bought an excellent original Tamagno on a Victor Monarch red import label for peanuts because the seller was new, he had misspelled the singer's name and listed a blurry photo. It was a calculated risk that rewarded me handsomely.

I should say, I clicked "Buy it Now", but I haven't paid for it yet. I sent the seller a message with my phone number asking them to contact me regarding picking it up, payment, etc.

Hopefully I'll hear something. :D
