No word.

I would not assume this was a "joke posting", probably because I would never even THINK of doing such a thing as a joke.

I would agree. I'm not going to repeat myself as I've done before, but there's a good chance the seller just hasn't seen the message from you (it HAS happened to me many times). Sadly, there's also a chance it's sold and they haven't removed the listing.

Whenever a good deal turns up on Craigslist, in the back of your mind, there is always a seed of doubt.
In my opinion, it is certainly worth the time an energy to investigate.
No harm-no foul in sending an e-mail to a perspective seller.
If you found out after the fact that the listing was legit, but did not act on it, you'd be quite disappointed.
If the listing does turn out to be a hoax, then shame on the poster!

Frank,
I hope the seller is just away for a few days, or just tied up with other things and does get back to you.

PS
pm sent regarding the 8-12

Agree. Definitely worth the try. It took me a very long time to finally hear back from a guy selling a Victor III motor and case on Craig's List. Turned out my messages were getting trapped in his spam filter. But he finally found them and I bought it at a decent price.

It's possible the seller is on vacation. Give it a week, and if you hear nothing, well, then it might be time to give it up. I saw this one, too. I just wish I had the room. I used to have one, and kind of miss it, as it has a wonderful sound.

Very possible. Case in point...

1st contact was made 24 hours after the VE10-50 being posted.
Why would a person post anything and take a vacation?
It could have been sold, the post not deleted and just can't understand all of the continued emails.
Fallen ill. Maybe?

Here's the image from the still active ad, followed by a 1927 Popular Mechanics blurb.
There's no mention in the article of it being a Victor Talking Machine, just its technology.

Unfortunately, it looks like the "slightly overweight lady" is starting to sing on this one!
