In the photos that Silvertone posted, it appears that the horn will slide-out the back of the machine w/o disturbing the sides of the horn assembly.

I think this thread came up because someone had found an embossed leather Credenza which had been completely stripped, horn and all. In that instance the transplant would be worth it

I did not initiate the post, but that is exactly what I am doing. I have a very nice Mahogany Credenza cabinet that will receive a complete horn to include the side panels and the other is a Tooled Leather Credenza that someone removed the lower panel back panel of the horn for some reason and it will receive only the panels that are missing. A machines value is sometimes up to the person doing the work. If its worthwhile to them the thats another machine saved I say.

Absolutely correct! Where shall I deliver your extra points?

I would like to revive this thread and see if anyone has had experience removing a Credenza horn since this thread was created.

I'm working on an 8-30 and I'm trying to get the horn out. I'm working on removing the little blocks. Does anyone know what adhesive was used? Or any new tips on how to remove it?

Probably Hide Glue, which can be dissolved with denatured alcohol, I think.

use heat to melt and or steam to soften it is water soluble. Steam iron and cloth!
