Judging from the condition of the cloth, and the presence of the tack strips, I'd say it's definitely original.

Yes that is original Edison Cloth from the latter machines. My first William and Mary Console had that original material.

I know your grille cloth is original because I have the same grille cloth on my two Schuberts and Beethoven Edisonics!

I'm glad to hear that this grill cloth is original to the machine! Now the challenge will be to find a replacement. Has anyone found a similar cloth?

Also, are there any other original patterned grill cloths? Don't want to be throwing out something that might be original.
