I believe the suffix-B follows the VTLA.

Bob,
That's a gorgeous machine !
Does the Lid stay have "ratchet notches" ?
Is the grain filled for a smooth finish ( piano-finish ) ?

Frank, The lid stay has just the one notch. It doesn't have a piano smooth finish. I can feel the grain with my hand and see it.

It's the style "C" that seems to have switched over to the albums, but I've not been able to figure out exactly when. I have a "C" in my workshop that has boxes which came with the machine and my gunmetal oak finish, slightly later "C" came with the albums. The 10 inch albums need to be the 16 page ones, or they will not fit. The 12 inch albums will fit. I believe those are all the same. I'm hoping in the next months to be able to offer some nice boxes and possibly some 12 inch albums also for various machines. I have lots of them, but they've only recently come out of storage and relocated. Various other obligations and a close call with a flood have prevented me from getting these organized sooner, so if you've PMed me requesting more info, please bear with me, I'm still no closer to getting them organized than I was before.

I wish they kept the box albums. The big books in my XVI(1913 style) hold 17 records and are way too heavy to do what they're supposed to do. When the books are loaded, they must weigh like 15 lbs, especially the 12" ones. You can't pull them out of the storage without damaging them.
I'll just store the empty books in my machine and store the records elsewhere.

A really handsome oak L-door. Congrats.
There is a Circassian L-door for sale near me, but alas it is not in my budget.

Thanks, I am very happy with it. When I get time I will give the motor a complete service.
Wow , a walnut one must be beautiful and pricey.

$4,995, and I expect that is a reasonable asking price.
