NOTE: After comparing this document against the data in my C250/C19 database, I decided that the partially illegible "O" in the date code is actually a "Q".

These are not big picture files either. I have no problem posting Photobucket links to other boards on the web except this one.. What's the fix? I can't remember the command you put before the photobucket image link to make it work.

If someone lets me know, I can get some pics up right away on this message.

I did a quick search and found this topic post, Tony K. I hope it can answer your question.

Fran,
I hope I'm not wasting your time with this one, it's in terrible condition and the phonograph it came from was just as bad! Anyway, I have it, so here it is, from a B-19 Chalet I've restored. The serial number matches the machine it was found in. Considering how badly deteriorated the Chalet was, it's amazing this paper slip was still inside. Very hard to read what is left of it. Serial#11673, Rouge finish.

I'd say that even though your packing slip is tattered, you're very lucky to have it! That's a treat, thank you, Mike!

Let's try this again...

Ye ask, Ye seek, and Ye shall find...

There are in the order as follows:

1. H-19 DD Packing Slip
2. H-19 DD Packing Slip
3. C-19 DD Packing Slip
4. C-19 DD Packing Slip

Okay, this is what we have so far, using the date deciphering tool provided in this post: http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... 255#p92255

I hope the way that I have the following table laid out, it is sufficiently simple to use.

1) S-19 #131626, date code on packing slip; H-30-R = August, 30, 1922 (CDBPDX)
2) W-19 #14871, date code on packing slip; N/A (ejackett)
3) S-19 #108064, date code on packing slip; I-15-P = September 15, 1920 (flashpanblue)
4) C-19 #89808, date code on packing slip; K-5-O = November 5, 1919 (Valecnik)
5) Army/Navy (A N) #3116016, date on packing slip; 1-28-19 (barnettrp21122)
6) C-19 #170483, date code on packing slip; I-24-R = September 24, 1922 (eBay)
7) C-19 #162041, date code on packing slip; I-15-Q = September 15, 1921 (Microtrol)
8) H-19 #62729, date code on packing slip; L-11-R = December 11, 1922 (eBay)
9) B-19 #11673, date code on packing slip; N/A (mikejk)

Thank you to everyone that has contributed so far, I hope this work continues to grow quickly! :)

Best,
Fran

Another addition I noticed I had missed earlier, CDBPDX started this whole thing with his question on this BC-34 packing slip here http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... 217#p92217

However, this particular slip remains an enigma to me.

This slip is what started the conversation that led to the postulation of the cypher that I base this entire post on. Thanks especially go out to phonogfp (George F. Paul) for his diligent and thoughtful contributions!

Hi Fran, here's another DD packing slip to add to your data base. The last date letter is smudged and even with a close up it looks unreadable. On this slip they do not have the DD BC-34 listed so it was written in by hand.
