Jerry,
You should be very proud of your grandson!
Hopefully he'll accompany you on your next phonograph hunt/road trip.

When Wyatt came into our lives he was in the third grade. He enjoyed visiting the basement because of the bicycles and my childhood toys. I discovered that he enjoyed working on bikes. The first bike we jointly worked on was a Swing Bike which is a Sting-Ray style trick bike made famous by one of the Osmond brothers on the Donnie & Marie show. He wanted it to glow in the dark so we painted it with a special yellow paint that actually glows in the dark. For Christmas a few years ago I decided to give him a full size bike for Christmas. I visited a local bike shop that I knew had some vintage bikes in the back room. The owner questioned why I wanted an old bike for him instead of a shiny new bike. I replied that if I gave him a vintage bike, we'd spend about ten hours together getting the bike in tip top shape. I knew a vintage bike would be a gift for both of us and it was. Jerry
