I installed an LP attachment onto my C-19 years ago, using Ron Dethlefson's reprint of the original Edison installation instructions, which are excellent and easy to successfully use if you are reasonably handy. The exercise is actually one of my treasured phono hobby memories...that was a really fun night.
I also added the 10/12 positioning system. Contrary to what some may say, it is quite effective when properly set up, because it eliminates any sightline errors your eye may induce during hand positioning of the reproducer. This reliably keeps you from banging the stylus on the outer edge of the record, and from setting it down after the music's beginning. Both of these are especially crucial with the LP stuff since both the styli and records are both very fragile - you can chip the stylus or put a "needle-drop" dig in the record.
Not many of us have a 12" Edison record of any type, but when you do, the 12" button comes in handy in the same way.
