Congrats on the anniversary... Unfortunately, the addiction is bad and there is no cure. That being said, you have now joined an elite club of OCD collectors who have never met a machine or record they don't like.

I hope you realize that your friends and neighbors will look on you with suspicions that you have lost your mind and may actually suggest professional counseling. You collect what??? Feigned interest... and then back to conversations of much more importance like who won the game last weekend...

Start now to upgrade the supports in your floors, especially if you are interested in Diamond Discs or 78s. Time flies when you are having fun, and 10 years or so down the line you will wonder how you actually lived without 1500 lbs of records...

I am into antique firearms as well, and moreso than phonographs, and this hobby is CHEAP compared to that involving a pre-1899 Colt, Winchester, or Smith & Wesson. You can still get a box lot of run of the mill cylinders and they can run you as little as under $3.00 each...

Mike, I have been collecting for over 25 years and am still going strong. Like Scott, I will enable you to buy these wonderful machines, and show you how to restore and fix them. Pretty soon, you will be broke with no money, but you will have a big smile on your face. :D
