My poor little v 4-3 tried to hide in the corner when I played this video.

Very nice. I've had mine nearly 13 years, and it's still one of my favorites. I prefer it to my Credenza in its performance on early electrically recorded classical works.
Enjoy!

Great machine, thanks for sharing. It's nice to see the colors are still bright, it shows very well and a great addition to a phono collection.
Best Regards, Larry

That machine is a pip!
I've always wanted one, and never have found a nice example for sale at a time when I could afford it. Ah, well, someday!
These machines share the same excellent metal horn with the 8-35, and so sound simply wonderful. Unfortunately, the house that I'm just finishing is an early Craftsman, with extensive oak paneling, and the Regency style of the 8-35 just doesn't work well in the room. The 8-9, on the other hand, would just be perfect. An 8-7 wouldn't look out of place either... One turned up at the Stanton's auction, and sold for a reasonable price- $1200, but the winning bidder was an acquaintance of mine who I knew had very deep pockets, and who wanted that machine VERY badly. I figured that bidding against him would have been futile.
I believe that the Revere that I picked up at that sale might serve the purpose.

Thanks! I shall certainly enjoy it for many years to come. It has been designated as part of my "permanent collection" along with my Victor R, Victor III, Victrola 8-35, and Edison C-19. These are machines I feel are the nicest examples I am likely to find of my favorite models. All others are subject to upgrade when better/fancier examples become available.
