Here is an example of a Zonophone Parlor. This machine has a 7" turntable as shown below...
The motor board or bed plate is rectangular which allows for a compact design but also the mounting of the horn support on one side with the exterior brake and speed adjustment on the other. The rectangular case was also designed around the fact that a 12" record could also be played without removing the crank and would allow the motor to be wound while playing if necessary.
