hi burtemg, thanks for the video, that 104 is really nice and in excellent condition, sounds great too,i notice some chrome work to the front right of the cabinet, and am wondering is that a stop or holder for the sound box when not in use, its obviously missing from mine, regards maitiu,

The two clips at the front right of the motor board are designed to hold packets of Tungstyle needles. They will also hold packets of the later "Long Playing" needles. In between the two clips is a removable container for used needles. These containers often go missing but can be found on eBay from time to time.

Just to say hello and welcome to the gramophone world. I'm some miles north of you in County Fermanagh and am a gramophone addict as well. I'm afraid this message is really just the "you're not on your own in this" "moral support" type! I'm clueless about mechanics or anything like that - just love the instruments themselves.
I'm sure you'll love your 104.

thanks seamus for that,there are some very friendly and welcoming guys on forum here,but a very hard page to negotiate,
there's another version on facebook where you can post a picture but you cant add a text, it will take me some time to try and crack all the walls that seem to be placed in ones way, hope to be able to put up pics as i progress with this restore, im quite experienced with valve radio restoring and wooden cabinets etc ,best regards , maitiu.
