The first of the 3 arrived on Friday
What are the other two, pray tell. I have all but the drip pan and the E. Buy the drip pan if the original pan is there. That will be as close as I'll get to a complete set. The Gem C is said to be harder to find than the Maroon Gem D

Edison # 2 arrived safe and sound yesterday! For those of you who have never bought a cylinder or machine from Rich Gordon, his packaging would survive nuclear disaster and/or zombie apocalypses.
Today's Edison is a beautiful Home Model A (Suitcase Home) which left the factory in October of 1899. The bed plate is pristine, and the banner decal is bright and vibrant. It's pictured with a standard model C reproducer, but I have a winged model C on the way. Since I don't have many brown wax cylinders, and a lot of Gold Moulded records, I decided against the automatic for now. I generally use my Eagle to play brown wax anyway.

Can't wait to see what's behind door #3. Doors 1 and 2 were really nice. You'll never regret buying condition even if you think you're paying a bit too much. Jerry

That's very true, Jerry. That is especially the case if it's something you intend to keep and enjoy for a long time. Door #3 is unfortunately (mostly for me) locked until Spring. Just because patience is a virtue, doesn't mean I have to like it...

I started to get the Drip Pan. And yes, the pan is there. I think it's been sold. Gene has been collecting for 45 years and he has some of the finest examples out there.
BTW, Nice machine Brandon. I always loved the old suitcase Homes.

Congrats to you both. The branded case is interesting (first time I knew about those) and the maroon is my favorite.

You're right the Drip Pan Gem is Sold. I bought it along with the Gem Model-C, the Amberola III, THE Amberola VIII, and the Home Under Glass. I post some pictures later today, but here is the Drip Pan. By the way I live about 25 minutes from Gene and can help anyone with pickup and possible delivery.

I contemplated the drip pan as well, but I found the branded version a bit more interesting. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to acquire a few machines from Gene's collection, it was truly world-class.
