The whole key phrase in this thread is parting out good machines. I would doubt anyone on this site has a problem with cannibalizing incomplete or beatup junk machines but this is an entirely different situation.

And yes I would love to get that one part to make one of my projects complete but at what expense. After a given amount of time searching I'd much rather part out my "incomplete machine" and just buy one that is complete.

To some of us it just becomes an ethical thing I guess but that's why they make vanilla & chocolate.
